The Gowri is located in the heart of heart of West Mambalam, adjacent to Chennai’s shopping hub T.nagar. The building by itself is a land mark in the locality & stands towering on the busy Arya Gowda Road, which is the main artery road of West Mambalam.
The Gowri - Your Hall to Celebrate, is one of the finest multipurpose function hall situated in the heart of West Mambalam, Chennai. Newly reconstructed & relaunched, it has one of the best facilities & interiors. The main hall is fully air-conditioned, with a capacity to seat 220 people & can accommodate floating crowd up to 250. To facilitate a pleasant experience & considering Chennai climate, this hall has been provided with 24 tons of air-conditioning. Its interiors are aesthetically designed to match the grandeur of your function & to make the occasion memorable. The seating chairs are ergonomically designed for comfortable seating & are also colorful. This main Hall has 2 rooms with attached toilets, fitted with large live size mirrors to suit your needs of dressing / make up for your occasion.
Tatvamasi Hall – This is the Dining hall with capacity to seat 90+ people at a time. This has been designed with comfortable chairs & tables for dining, along with ease of moving around.
Tatvamasi Hall is a multipurpose hall, besides dining it can also be re-arranged as a hall with stage which could accommodate seating capacity of 150+ people. This hall beautifully suits any small evening events including B’day parties, any small family get-together, Corporate events / High tea, Kutchery, Dance Arangetram, Bajans / Nasmasankirthanams, Ayappa Pooja / Erumudi Kattu & many other social events.
This hall also has 2 rooms with attached toilets, for the convenience of those staying overnight for their functions.
Rooms - In total four air-conditioned rooms, with attached toilets are available. The rooms have convenient “sofa cum bed furniture” to suit your flexible usage needs. All the rooms are fitted with water heaters as well. For those staying overnight, pillows, bed spread & sheets are also provided. These rooms are also provided with both “Invertor & Generator back up” facility. Also upon request, other items like Kuthuvilaku, Jamakalam, Panner Sombu, Sandana Kinam, Reception plates are provided
Kitchen – There is a kitchen with required gas stoves / vessels to suit cooking for around 300+ people. For those who plan to bring pre-cooked food through Caterer, they can use facilities to cook Dosai, Chapati, Vada, Appalam or just to re-heat & serve hot tasty food.
Lift Facility – OTIS elevator provides smooth movement of all guests to both second & third floors where the halls are situated. This lift is fitted with latest technology including, Automatic Rescue System (ARS) – in case of power failure, enabled by battery lift moves to the nearest floor & doors open automatically ensuring safe exit of passengers. Diesel Generator power back up is also available for the elevator.
Power back up – Two layer power back up is available – Invertor & Diesel Generator. In case of sudden power failure, considering safety & to ensure that the hall does not plunge into darkness Invertor back up is available for emergency lights. This acts as a stand by, before the generator is initiated in the next few minutes.
Homam Facility – Air-conditioned Second floor hall is fitted with smoke exhaust facility, this helps the homam smoke to be extracted outside the hall.
